Benjamin Schlesinger

Russian-born Benjamin Schlesinger was a three-time president of the International Ladies Garment Workers' Union (ILGWU), serving in this role from 1903-1904, 1914-1923, and 1928-1932. From 1907-1912 he was manager of the New York Jewish Daily Forward, while also active as an organizer for the ILGWU.
